About Ping Pong for Good

What is Ping Pong for Good (PPG)?

Ping Pong for Good is a movement for brain health. We are on a mission to improve the lives of those living with neurological conditions and help individuals achieve better brain health at any age.

With your support, we can achieve the following objectives:

  • Raise awareness about the importance of exercise + brain health and the many therapeutic benefits of playing ping pong.

  • Making playing ping pong accessible to all, anytime, anywhere, intergenerationally.

  • PPG Therapy in physical therapy offices, rehabilitation centers & assisted living facilities.

  • PPG Fitness in schools, gyms & community centers.

  • Support Clinical Research to develop more protocols for treatment and widespread adaption

Our goal is to be a hub of information, inspiration, connection, and facilitation.

Is ping pong the same thing as table tennis?

Yes!

Why is this important now more than ever?

The world faces a global crisis due to an epidemic of cognitive decline, with neurodegenerative diseases exponentially on the rise. We are creating solutions that address multiple challenges simultaneously.

Why is PPG different?

With our two cornerstone programs, PPG Therapy and PPG Fitness, we have reimagined playing ping pong and exercises inspired by the game into a brain training activity with therapeutic benefits well beyond recreational and competitive play typically associated with it. By creating a series of drills and incorporating challenges such as dual-tasking, we’re maximizing the benefits while still retaining the fun factor of playing. We make fitness and physical therapy fun which means that people will actually want to do it.

Who can benefit from PPG Therapy and PPG Fitness?

While ping pong has health benefits for everyone, it is especially beneficial for those aging and living with brain disorders, including Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, MS, stroke and ADD.  Watch this video to learn more about who can benefit based on PPG’s Ping Pong Therapy pilot program.

PPG Therapy and PPG Fitness can benefit those living with neurological conditions and promote healthy, active aging. We have identified a clear need for our programs from those that are living with brain disorders and from those seeking new ways to stay active given the physical limitations associated with growing older. We have also heard from the caregiving community and the providers who serve those living with these conditions associated with aging and brain diseases. that they are seeking programs like ours. Our programs provide a fun and beneficial way for people to engage physically, socially, and mentally while building community, even across generations!
